Several days late in posting this, but I have to report that I’m 15 years old… or at least last Thursday night I was.
My friends and I decided that we simply had to attend the midnight showing of New Moon and before that watch Twilight at 9pm… late night, but fantastic time. I pulled in front of my house as my morning alarm clock was going off. Needless to say I was tired that day.
The movie was amazing, there were shots in there that were simply beautiful and the story telling was solid. Some things I learned through the night. NM is my favorite book of the series so I was worried about the retelling of it. I love the story of loss and moving on and eventual resolution.
- Vampire bites can be worn in public after Halloween
- Diet Rockstar can fit perfectly in your purse and consumed at 1am for added energy
- 15 yr old girls can actually not speak for 2.5 hours and watch a movie in rapt attention
- Bathrooms are great unifiers, but you really shouldn’t yell out BINGO when you find a clean one… people look at you funny.
- If you twitter your New Moon experience you may loose followers (didn’t need you anyway)
- 40 year old dads who take their whole family to see midnite movies may not be cool yet, but they will be someday
- Moms who think this is the night to wear their cool jeans and be the cool mom – still not working for you. But you do get extra points for trying.
- If there are two friends with you for the movie, the middle seat is best.
Movie was great, soundtrack was awesome and company was even better. Girls, I’m already looking forward to Eclipse.. you game?
